The Old Town of Corfu, on the Island of Corfu off the western coasts of Albania and Greece, is located in a strategic position at the entrance of the Adriatic Sea, and has its roots in the 8th century BC. Surrounded by the sea, the old town of Corfu is closed between the two ancient fortresses. Espianada square, built-in the style of the Royal Gardens of Europe it is the largest square in the Balkans and one of the largest in Europe.
